5 Months

Today Lucy has been a Lucy Monster, but she is also known as,

Poopy princess
Sweetie
Monkey brains (this is Scott's...weird)
Miss L
Silly girl
Rauncherella
Sweetness
Lucy Lu
Poopy pants
Pretty girl
Lulu
Baby
Sweetie pie

But today, Lucy Monster.

Lucy Monster: Refusal to take naps, extreme fussiness/tiredness/unhappiness, fights eating, needs-to-be-held-at-all-times-by-mom-or-else.

I'm pretty sure I'll cherish these photos for the rest of my life.
Thank you Allison for capturing these for me.
I think they are beautiful.

Life

Today I was so overwhelmed by happiness that I started to cry in the grocery store.

Just an ordinary day, nothing special.

But, lately I have just felt so utterly happy and that,

is wonderful.

Oliver

While this blog is now primarily dedicated to Lucy and all her glory, I have to give a shout-out to my first baby, Oliver. Who is so woefully neglected these days.

He is the sweetest dog and the bestest friend and I love him very, very much.

Snuggle Bug

When Lucy takes naps with us she likes to snuggle in.

We will put her in the middle of the bed, but she wriggles down until she is right next to you.
I love that she made sure her head and hand are touching Scott.

Ahhh, life is pretty sweet right now.

Let the Wild Rumpus Start

I'm normally not a fan of children's books being made into movies. Something magical is always lost in translation. BUT, I loved (loved, loved, loved) the film version of

Where the Wild Things Are

So lovely. I was completely enchanted. and the cinematography. Oh my.

"I don't want you to go, I'll eat you up, I love you so."
